Hi Jumbo, welcome aboard. There are several forum members with auto immune hepatitis and some (like myself) who are supporting loved ones with the condition. If you were interested in engaging with a greater number of AIH patients I can wholeheartedly recommend you join the AIH UK support page of Facebook.

facebook.com/groups/AIHorgUK/

They have well over 3500 members, page is moderated by long standing AIH patients and group is supported by some of the top specialists currently working in AIH treatment and research. Group members were involved in writing up the BLT guidance pages on the condition. (Group is closed and private so no one else sees anything shared there).

You'll find everyone from not yet diagnosed, newly diagnosed, folks on all the various treatment options right up to post transplant. More AIH specific than here - though here is good too.

Hi Katie

Thank you very much for your message and I think I saw that group earlier while googling on the topic.

I would definitely like to engage more, learn more and also try to understand certain things more.

Thanks and might see you over there.

Regards

Beat

If you have any specific questions then feel free to ask away, like I say several of us here with AIH experience. :)

Hi, we use BLT site.... nurses are a great source of info too. The FB page, as Katie suggested is amazing. So much info, knowledge and like minded, friendly people. My son has AIH, diagnosed last May When he was 19years old. Slowly navigating diet, consulting process and getting meds right. It's a minefield but luckily you're not on your own with these wonderful places to seek help & support. See you around on both and good luck with it all xx
