Some people have indeed gotten an AIH diagnosis post vaccine (not just the Covid one), some people have gotten an AIH diagnosis post viral infection too (including post Covid). Quite a bit of discussion on AIH Facebook group on this topic.

AIH is Auto Immune Hepatitis - it's where your own immune system goes a bit hay wire and starts to attack your own organs. No one knows why it occurs - some people may have a disposition to auto immune illness and something 'triggers' it into becoming active. All manner of things have been identified as potential triggers - a previous illness/infection, chemical and environmental factors, medicines (some antibiotics have been identified as triggers), vaccines, some supplements (Green Tea Extract). I’m sure that a lot of autoimmune conditions are triggered by viruses. There’s research on this in relation to Type 1 diabetes (my two kids are T1) so I’m sure there is a genetic predisposition to autoimmune disease. Whether vaccines can have the same triggering effect, I’m not sure, but I’d be interested to see the research.
