Hi All. My partner has been diagnosed with cirrhosis. he has a few mild symptoms, bloated stomach, spider veins, erectile dysfuction, loss of appetite. He has now developed a yellow tongue with fissures. Has anyone else had this? Is it related to cirrhosis as I cant find anything about it online, its mostly talking about yellow eyes. jaundice. Thankyou in advance
yellow tongue: Hi All. My partner has... - British Liver Trust
yellow tongue
My hubby has had a couple of bouts of oral thrush and certainly has a yucky coated tongue. GP should be able to prescribe an anti fungal for it. NOT Daktarin Gel/miconazole (liver unit had a hairy fit when they found GP had given my hubby that as it can seriously mess with liver numbers). Nystatin is what liver unit prescribed for hubby.

I have the yellow tongue as well. I have fibrosis of the liver.
Hi, I have the tongue also. Do you have any trouble eating or any other symptoms?
Yes I have trouble eating and swallowing, I also have colitis several cysts on my colon.
I understand yes. Have you lost weight? I have severe weightloss. What has the doctor said to you in terms of treatment for your liver condition ( if anything)?
Yes I have lost a stone in weight in about a year. They don't do anything about my liver fibrosis. I have just learned to live with it all!!!
Could it be candida?
Yes I get this..my tongue is coated yellow. I think mine is a bile flow issue.... what has your partner been diagnosed with? Can he eat ok?
He has been diagnosed cirrhosis. He is an alcoholic and is still drink alot. His appetite has changed as he only eats small dinners now. After he has eaten his tummy looks bloated. He has spider veins, and his nails are white. He eats ok although he says his tongue is a bit sore.
I have fibrosis of the liver caused by factor 8 blood products which gave me hep c. I cleared the hep c in 2015. I have bowel problems as well.
