I have been diagnosed with NAFLD whilst having a scan. My GP says it’s connected to my type 2 diabetes. He as revered me to a diabetic specialist at my local hospital. This was 4 weeks ago and I haven’t heard anything. Do I need to push this or wait, I’m not sure what fatty liver is.
Thank You

In the publications area of the website there is an excellent downloadable leaflet about treating NAFLD with healthy diet and exercise which may help you to stop further damage from occurring and reverse the fatty build uo already present.
As regards your wait to see specialist, 4 weeks isn't a long wait. Ask your GP what the anticipated wait time may be but in the interim there are probably some steps you can implement to start treating yourself.
Hi , yes backs is associated with diabetes, I'm in a Facebook group director 2 diabetics and nearly every day someone posts they have been told they have nafld. Hopefully you are in the early Stages and it can be reversed with diet and exercise changes. Please look at the British liver trust website for information and advice. They also have a helpline you can call. Don't panic.britishlivertrust.org.uk/in...
Unfortunately, sugar is the cause of many disorders... My specialist recommended Diaform to me as an aid to stabilise my sugar. And in general, the therapy of many disorders was more successful. Today I feel much better and the tests confirm the improvements.
