Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with cirrhosis over 2 years ago due to hep C, which has now been treated. I’m puzzled over the results of my last 2 ultrasounds. The one a year ago said “liver normal” and the next one in December 22 said indicative of fatty liver! No mention of cirrosis. While I would be over the moon if this were this the case, I have been led to believe that this cannot happen. Has anyone any ideas?

I am / may be in a similar situation. Have you had a fibroscan? If not, it's a specialist type of ultrasound that checks for the amount of scarring in the liver. While my original diagnosis said cirrhosis and I have a 'coarse ecotexture', I have now had two fibroscans which came back as 6.7 and 7.2 which is barely into any scarring at all and should be far below a cirrhosis level. I don't think I figure on my consultant's radar as I'm not in an urgent case and so far I've had no explanation for the contrast. If anyone else here is reading this and has any possible insights, I'd be grateful too... Thanks...
