So depressed

I feel like there is no way out of this. Can't travel as it makes me sick. Have a gouty tophi on my foot. Hospital won't operate due to the state of my spleen etcsaying I could get sepsis or amputation. Twice been prepped for surgery. Twice they called off last minute. Have a consultant who I have see twice in 3 years. Compensated at the moment I think who knows. Fed up. Depressed. Had enough really all seems so hopeless, off alcohol for 4 years this year. So cant even get rat arsed.

Violet, hang in there. You are doing an amazing job!! Staying off the drink! Congrats and it is only helping you. It is so easy to become overwhelmed and am glad you are reaching out here. It does suck especially when you are doing everything you should but things get crappy. Stay strong!!

I’m so sorry you’re feeling so low. This time of year is particularly hard isn’t it. It might be worth ringing the helpline for a chat. Get it all off your chest and they might be able to make some suggestions that would help

Sorry to hear you feel "down". Try to focus on your achievement on beating the booze which is brilliant for you, At least you are on the list with regard to your foot problem and due to current problems in our Society it is very concerning re: yourconcerns to solve this foot problem. Do you have friends you can confide in to reveal your feelings? Please talk to someone and be honest with them. Do take care.
