Afraid of palmar erythema

Hello all,

I'm 31 male, heavy drinker for 2 years with periods of abstinence.

Last blood test in march came back with no problem, in mid july endoscopy showed nothing wrong with stomach, oesophag etc.

I quit drinking 1 month and a half ago but i had still reddish hands with spots,

Could this be palmar erythema ? Sometimes feel burning sensations but not all the day

Thank you

hello there. Sorry, but were not allowed to put pictures on the forum. But seeing as you have, in my opinion your palms look perfectly normal.but you should check things out with your medical team,as none of us are medically qualified.

my best. Chris

I am not a doctor but those look like normal palms to me. But I AM NOT A DOCTOR so please don't take my word for it. Please delete and accept my apologies if this reply is deemed out of line, thank you!

I would suggest the thread started not drink for six months and get checked again (yes, that includes no drinking over Christmas and New Year's holiday, sorry!).

I think we arent allowed to post pictures to prevent people diagnosing each other over the Internet! That said, your hand looks like a normal hand to me. It sounds like you are anxious about your liver health, due to your previous heavy drinking? You're doing the right things now by giving it up. You're young, your doctor isn't worried, and tests youve had aren't showing anything of concern. Just continue with a balanced healthy lifestyle and enjoy life :)
