I have been on it for a month so dont know yet whether it is working or not. There are many side effects you CAN get but mine are only sore feet, sore mouth and slight constipation. All there are only mild really and are easy to cope with. Also get tired. These may change the longer i am sorefenib i dont know. Just been given another month supply

Hi grahamrc

How's the sorefenib going? My brother has liver cancer and although he has been given the tablets he has yet to take them. He's so afraid that they will make him sicker than he is. One day is different to another ie feels fine in the morning but lousy during the day OR has a bad night. He says the hospital isn't helpful because he's refusing to take the tablets. Would you advise him to take these tablets? If I could get a positive reply I could forward it on to him. Thanks.

the biggest side effect for me is tiredness, i have bleeding gums and sore feet(both not that bad). I cant really give advice as to whether he should take or not but i started taking them as soon as the were prescribed as in my mind something was better than nothing, Also most side effects an be controlled by other things(cream, immodium, etc. Everyone is different and he may or may not tolerate them.Until you take them you wont know how bad you get the side effects(if any)

Sorry to hear the tablets causing upset, when I had my Bowel Cancer op 5yrs ago, I wasn't allowed chemo due to my cirrhosis, I had what was called a Liver Tipps procedure, it was like a stent which was fed through my jugular vein in neck, I have Portal hypertension and the Tipps was to help, it also along with my bisoprolol tabs keeping the varices, away, had endoscopy a few days ago and was all clear of varices,

Don't know what cancer you have or if you have cirrhosis but this has helped me, no side effects, recovery a couple of days, didn't feel anything, still here to tell the tale, all the best for your recovery, xx

i have liver cancer that has spread to main blood vessel.3 months ago they were looking at transplant but due to the cancer in the blood vessel were only able to offer sorefanib. I have gone from a potential cure to a terminal prognosis in less than 6 weeks

Sorry to hear your diagnosis, stay as strong as possible as long as you can, easier said than done I know, I lost my sister 15 yrs ago with liver cancer,

They may still find something to help you, I'm dreading the day I'm told the same, I know it will come, I'm chronic but stable,

Hang in there, best wishes, xx
