We arn't really allowed to comment on test results and obviously in your case they are still carrying out investigations (with the upcoming biopsy). So even what is suggested just now may not be the full story and it will be up to doctors to interpret for you.
So far though it's looking as though your kPa score and mention of Metavir F4 points to fairly advanced liver damage/early cirrhosis. However, depending on what your bloods are currently showing it is possible the score can be falsly elevated (fibroscan can't tell the difference between actual fibrosis & ongoing inflammation).
Hopefully you get your biopsy soon and a medical interpretation of all the results.
If Non Alcohol Related Fatty Liver is your issue then there are things you can do to hopefully stop the damage from progressing and potentially even reverse damage.
This is an unvalidated fibroscan table compiled from a few published studies. It should not be considered as a final argument. The results should be interpreted by the doctor on the basis of all data from the patient's studies.
Indeed which is exactly what i pointed out when I said:-
"what is suggested just now may not be the full story and it will be up to doctors to interpret for you" & also dependent on the results of the upcoming biopsy taken together with all the tests already done.
"However, depending on what your bloods are currently showing it is possible the score can be falsly elevated (fibroscan can't tell the difference between actual fibrosis & ongoing inflammation)".
It's just that you cite it in every post about fibroscan, which can be misleading, since a particular patient may have overlapping syndromes, i.e. several etiological factors are present at the same time.
I don't know about much of it but slightly nodular suggests it could be early cirrhosis. Nodular means those bumps you see on a cirrhosis liver. A lot of us have this condition for various reasons. Don't freak, out yet. You can take better care of yourself and live quite a long time with a little cirrhosis.Pam
