Hi does anyone know if you can take a folic Acid supplement with pbc. I am also in menopause and sometimes I get a burning tongue and when I took folic Acid before for it it seemed to help as I can be a bit low in it? Thanx

Hi Casslucy, my liver consultant prescribed folic acid because my blood test showed I was a bit low. I’m also menopausal and have PBC. So I think you’d be OK, but if in doubt I always call my liver nurse.
