Dilated Bile Duct

Does anyone or has anyone had any experience with post op (12 years) bile duct dilation and pain from it? I had my gall bladder removed 12 years ago, and about 1.25 years ago I began having a pain in my side…. Where my liver is. I have had every blood test and scan known except for the fibroscan because they won’t order it…, everything has come back normal. Everything except my extrahepatic bile duct being dilated to 1 cm. They are giving me another scan on the 5th, and then they said they were gonna do something else that I don’t remember, I think a scope is next… but has anyone had any experience with this pain? Or am I experiencing cirrhosis and they just can’t see it? I’m 36 years old, I’ve been a heavy drinker for about 10 years and I’ve been on pain medicine for about 6 years for some pretty bad back issues. My doctor wanted to say my pain is coming from back issues at the beginning but I keep insisting it’s an issue with my liver. Can anyone help me with this or help me not worry so much? Thank you 😞

hi, i also got a wide bile duct, my gp dont know why, also pain and normal lfts or slightly elevetade bilirubin fluc 6-12. Have ur doctors figured it out?
