Sorry about the title its from a Beatles song (guess which song if you like it's the chorus)
See that Is in my mind at the moment, I really need a full night's sleep. I'll try anything. I've been taking vitamin D thanks Laura. I tried last night with some rain music it worked but woke up 4 hours later, good tip though Adilee. I really don't want to take sleeping tablets, there must be something else Hilary?. Grrrrrrrrr! Even with staying up as long as I can...... gotta get on top of this before it takes a hold......
Thanks guys sorry for the grumpy post...
Love to you all Danny x

Hi Danny good morning. Just a thought but have you tried listening to audiobooks. Iβve always read lots of books and listened to the radio but only just started with audiobooks as got a free trial with my new kindle.
You can get them free on the bbc Sounds app radio 4 or on your phone or iPad from Amazon audible. Itβs quite relaxing listening to a good book and if youβre not sleeping or wake up and are tossing and turning itβs very calming. You can educate yourself at the same time. Ha ha! Maybe even learn a language.
I also used the Headspace app for a year some time ago at a really traumatic time in my life and learned mindfulness. After a year I felt so much better that I didnβt need it anymore but the ideas have stayed with me. Thereβs a whole section on helping you sleep. You can get a free trial to see if you like it.
Just some ideas that may help and better than medication.
Take care and have a good day. Keep off the apple pies!
Hahahaha Corin I have absolutely no idea what you are talking about with these apple pies.....π―ππ. I have the Amazon prime music I can sign up free for 3 months but I keep putting it off. I shall give it a go, thanks sweet.I'm sorry about the horrible year, I hope you are better now X.
To be honest I would try anything now.I took my nephew out a week back and we went playing pool and to superbowl where we spent the whole day out. We had some dinner on the way home and we got back around half past 8. Thinking back I slept well that night, so I wonder if it will go back to normal once I start work. I bloody hope so π₯Ί Teehee
Thanks Corin

Headspace and Calm apps are really good. Hope you get a good night's sleep soon.
Thanks NΒ°1, what is headspace and where can I find it. You probably know about tacrolimus, Hilary told me that sleep patterns arise from taking it. Just wondering if you know of any counter action measures or sites to do with medication. I hate googling because you get caught up in reading and the next thing you know is you'll never walk again or all your eye lashes will fall out. Hahahaha π you know what I mean. Thanks upfront Dan
I would suggest calling your liver transplant coordinator and get some advice about your sleep and medication queries. They have access to your medical history so should advise.
Headspace and Calm apps are available in the APP store on most phones I think.
Alright NΒ°1 again. The headspace app costs a fiver a month, I will stick with a friend and a bat before paying to go to sleep... teehee π. I have however found a free app called (believe it or not) sleep app, hahahaha π€£ it's brilliant (I hope you are reading this Adilee and Hilary) you can just press a sound and it plays, there are lots to choose from and you can tap two or more tunes together to play at once. It's really good and worth a look! Thanks NΒ°1 Danny x
I've been awake but I think it's pointless to keep repeating myself. So education time. Without me googling what are CBD tablets and do I buy them and will I have to check with my consultant first because of all the other meds I'm on?Thanks for the message by the way!
Morning to you. You are probably still asleep - excuse my sense of humour. I read a while ago that breathing in deeply for the count of 4, hold your breath for the count of 4 and breathe out for the count of 4. Do this twice, then repeat for the count of 6 for all, then again for the count of 4. I have tried this and it works. I'm not a "sleep Doctor" though. Knowing you, you'll find this highly amusing. It's always a pleasure to read your posts and big hugs and "snores" to you. x
Good moaning Teletubby... teehee π. Kji aka Flo Gave me the same kind of method for stress...do you know what I'll give it a try, infant I'll try anything. Hire an elephant π to pop round and sit on me to suffocate me to unconsciousness... hahahaha π€£ anything.Well taking my nephew out all day might go indoor rock climbing π x See if that works.... yeah righto!
Fare enough Hilary, I'll get there even if it means catching up an on the last 20 years of coronation Street hahahaha, or something like that... teehee π x
Hi DannySorry not reply to your message I Will had a bit of a bad week with my own health problems spoke to my Renal specialist last week and it looks like I am heading down the same route as you. Anyway back to your Sleep problem have you tried Lavender oil or lavender pillow mist it works for me as I canβt take any sleeping pills even the Herbal ones gives me restless legs and keeps me up all night Worth a go β€οΈ Good Luck you need your rest Danny look after your yourself love π Deb..x
Back up Deb I thought it was your husband that was suffering. Please don't tell me now it's you.... what is happening? At a the moment. My nephew is running around with his new swipe card so he can play arcade games (pretty cool if I'm honest). Just cost me 25 sovs so he can accumulate tokens on the card and cash them in for a bag of haribo... grrrrrrrrr ow well the games are right good, just kicked his arse on Mario kart and won 60 tokens. I hope you can understand all that.
Evening Deb.... what happened, you never mentioned all this, I hope you are alright you have enough on. I must say, you sounded strong and positive with your post. Maybe you and your husband need each other at a bad time in your lives.Stay positive Danny x π
Hi Zhukov well I know exactly what you are saying itβs bloody π’ awful I am usually awake till 8 in morning and fall asleep till10/30 Iβm sorry I canβt give you a definite answer to this but you have my thoughts with you and remember that we are not the only ones with problem all the best Terry
Thanks Terry π...I can manage its just...l mean... well I'm awake now and fell asleep at 10 PM, I've been out all day and nothing has changed. I can be a fighter Tel just like you. I just wish I could sleep so I can knock the problem out. Teehee π. How are you doing old boy. I have read some of your posts and do sympathise with you. Keep up whatever it is you are doing and if chats are what you want/need just fire away.... Danny x
Morning Zhukov how are you feeling today. Last I could not sleep so I came downstairs lay down on the sofa 2,3,4, 5 came and then my partner came down and gave me right bollocking and dragged me back to bed lol. Yesterday I had some really bad and sharp pains in lower stomach is this something that you have experienced or am I turning into a good hypochondriac lol
Hi Terry...no mate you do get them, I mean mine was ascites fluid building up that fast it squashed all my organ's. All to the medication I was on used to play havock with my digestive system. Watch out for what you eat if your liver finds it hard to break things down it starts to grumble and gallstones start moving around which all creates pain. I'm not entirely sure of your full condition but I have been end of life and I wouldn't wish it on anyone......Listen I love the sense of humour... keep that mate it keeps you sane....."she gave you a right bollocking...... hahahaha π€£π€£π€£.
Love it Terry stay strong and don't let the bastard grind you down!

Another 'day in the life' of Danny, eh? No real tips for sleeping I'm afraid. I listen to half an hour of the everley brothers and doze off quite easily to that. My partner isn't having trouble sleeping since his to but he's always pretty tired anyway. Hope you get it sorted x
Hi mate, bit of a same prob,my alarm clock from year 1999 was off 6 days a week at the crack of dawn, before the bloody cockerel got his arse out, finished work officially 2018 although been on SSP, fortunately got a good divorce pay, officially retire in may 55 ,finally can live the dream, had every orifice poked and checked so a pretty good MOT,spent five years research, which at times drove me cookoo,go to bed now 5 - 6 am,awake at ten 11am,never had much rest or sleep working all them years, just never feel tired although I do lots of walking,no idea mate, but I'm not giving up chocolate and coffee. No bloody chance.Keep well pal,P.S,get some bed rails, your nearly out of the liver boat Don't get back in the Yellow submarine,Get it !??we all live in a yellow Submarine, well thought it was funny.π
Hahahaha ππ€£π€£π, it is funny. Look at you.... There's no roads where we are going, teehee (hope you get the film π₯) wow talk about ups and downs, I'm glad you are alright now, kept your sense of humour at least.... never let that go..ever! Thanks for the chat I hope it takes your mind off things for just a few minutes...π
Dam shame, had a chat a long time ago with Dorothy and she told me to follow the yellow brick road, but got pulled by Sgt pepper.,Sorry really Bad.good to chat, never will lose my weird sense of humour, must have got a bit of the great Norman wisdom when I met years ago in the Isle of white.Mr Grimsdale.
Hi Danny, vitamin D needs magnesium to help it work and be absorbed. Mag is also a natural calm for our bodies. If a mallet or brick doesn't work, you can ask your specialist about 5htp and or melatonin. I hope you find something that helps... Not being able to sleep is awful
Morning true dat... I've got some of those magnesium sachets so I've had one with my vitamin D. Give it a whirl, I'll also ask tomorrow. Thanks buddy for the advice... Dan x
