Hi All,

Sorry for not informing you until now but been rather preoccupied lately. Terry had the transplant on Sun evening & is doing really well so far. We didn't know quite how ill he was until the surgeon told us yesterday that if we had waited 2 weeks longer then he would have been too ill for the op. When the call came Sun morning I am sorry to say that I went to pieces while he remained as cool as a cucumber right to the doors of theatre. I was on my own by this time but have to say the nursing staff took care of me fantastically. He is on icu obviously but the staff are pleased with his recovery so far.

I have to say there are no words to describe the gratitude we feel to the donor family & I shall probably be in pieces yet again when I write our letter of thanks, it just doesn't seem enough though does it ?
