So I posted a few weeks ago about having a Fibroscan done privately, and I have enquired. 40 minute consultation while the Fibroscan is being done with the consultant is £550.00. Well I think this is amazing ,to have the consultant doing it in real time and asking questions and getting the results instantly. I think it’s well worth the money. So I have decided I will have it done in June when I hit 2 years Alcohol free and I will have up to date bloods and US which are due in May. I accept I have a severely scarred liver ,and how lucky I am to have caught it early and have the quality of life I do. My diagnosis has really been a blessing in disguise as it was the only thing that was going to get me to face my childhood trauma ,process it,heal from it and now I’m able to help others. I’m doing this scan purely out of interest.

That's fab Dean 👏 I think I'm understanding the latter of your post. The 'stuff' we keep in a matchbox, however can only stay there for a while as it stagnates, it can be buried, put aside, but once opened and managed, we can have full closure, then go on from our own personal experiences, to help others. For me, talking to a 'pro' unless they have been there, got a similar tee shirt, I feel its not the same. I speak in regards to big traumas I've had myself and I'd be much more likely to open up to someone that had similar experiences. Does that make sense, or am I completely barking up the wrong tree.
Good for you with doing and paying for your scan and everything, you will be an amazing support, trauma Councillor. 🙂
Ps I've not proof read that so typos galore I expect. Bear with it 😁
