Anyone experience spider angiomas? How and when did you notice them? Was it related to liver disease?

Anyone have experience with spider angiomas?
Hello
Yes lots. Some of mine have got to the point that they cover about a desert spoon size from the main middle of the spider (I presume you know what I mean).
Also the ones on my hands, (the pressure makes my fingers bleed and turn into an arterial bleed) I had Dermatology to cauterize them. The others on my face have to be done by a maxillofacial that will laser them.
I hope this helps.
Edit. Ps Sorry I should have mentioned I have Cirrhosis and have been told by a GP and Consultant it is to do with the Portal vein flow velocity. (I think I've got that right).
You can get spider angioma and not drink... My mother has them. She was always accused of being a closet drinker. she is not. I have them, not many, but I used to drink pretty heavy. Been8 months drink free
Hi 👋
As Truex said above spider angioma can be present for alsorts of reasons, not just liver related issues.
I had some years before any Liver disease. It can depend on age, lifestyle, medications, for instance steroids, I use steroids inhalers for asthma and this (I am presuming) is why I had them before any liver disease.
Mine exploded literally, when I was at my worst with liver disease, if they don't bleed, leave them be.
Ask your GP, they can help you determine further. Perhaps keep a body diary, circle the areas and see what happens, add more circles if any more happen to crop up, you could look like a wifi hotspot map like me!
Hope this helps.
Take good care. 😊
