Hi, had my Fibroscan today. I was diagnosed with Primary Biliary Cholangitis 6 months ago, my scan said I had slight fatty liver damage and the other reading was 5.8 so in normal range. I presumed the scan would've picked up damage from PBC not fatty liver. Does this mean I don't have PBC? I've to wait until Jan to see the Consultant. I've got all the symptoms. Dry mouth, extreme fatigue, yellow in eyes. Its all confusing. Thanks

Maybe PBC has not caused liver fibrosis yet? Which is good. About diagnosis you have to talk with your doctor. Hard to say without whole picture and knowledge which prosesionals have. Just my amature guessing.
Yo could also email the pbc foundation for advice Pbcfoundation.org.uk
They will give you up to date and accurate information it is charity celebrating 25 years in working so hard to help us understand our condition. It is an incredible family of over 15000 folk in the UK and even more who are members world wide hope this helps
