Pancreatic issues, post liver transplant

Hi, has anyone had issues with their pancreas, post liver transplant. I had my transplant 16months ago, and due to ongoing pain and bowel issues, they conducted an MRCP, which showed, I have an Atrophic pancreas, any info would be great. Thank you

Hi, all the CT scans I've had post transplant show an atropic pancreas doctors have never been worried about it, it doesn't seen to cause any problems, I am diabetic type 2 but whether that has any effect I don't know. I'm 4 years post transplant.Hilary

Thank you, this is the first time this has been picked up. I too am type 2 diabetic. The hospital have arranged some tests to check how well my pancreas is working, plus I've got an ultrasound on Friday, so I suppose in time they'll explain what this means. Thanks for your help.

Don't wait for them to offer up explanations. Be proactive... go armed with a notepad and pen with everything you want to ask them. They will welcome your interest in your conditions and answer accordingly. Be sure you understand everything they tell you and ask to repeat anything that isn't made clear enough.All the best for Friday .
