Hi everyone. I have had the 2nd dose of Pfizer 2 hours ago, I felt a bit dizzy afterwards, they gave me water at the centre. My blood pressure has got really high, I am drinking a lot of water. What was your experience with the 2nd shot, did you feel really sick, what did you take? Paracetamol ?( it's hard on liver), also on my period and I live on my own, worried about being ill.Thank you.

It is possible to get side effects with any of the covid jabs but they are only temporary and perfectly normal however you are to report them. You can ring pfizer on 01304 616161. Make sure you have something to eat ( not to make the phone call) to stop you feeling sick.

Thank you, my arm has started to ache and my period is heavier now, hope it doesn't get any worse.

Most people get an achey even dead arm for a while. Mine just felt like a bruise if l touched where the needle went in. My sister however, had a big red patch on her arm and felt as though she had flu for almost a week but even that is perfectly normal. It's just the way vaccines work to protect us. So don't worry sweetheart you will be fine x

Hello rintin, I started getting a headache at around 3am, I took paracetamol and got better, I haven't got a fever, but my arm still aches, thanks for asking.

I was advised to take an antihistamine with my jab to lessen the pain / discomfort around the injection site.

Hopefully the trust will remove your message before world war 3 breaks out. Good day to you

Oddly enough I have had a bit of this level of misinformation popping up on my FB today. Must be the day for it.😔

Pleased to see it has been removed 😉

A well educated doctor will tell any patient if it is not safe for them to receive any vaccine

Hi I had mine a little while ago no side effects with ether of them , not to say what you got is not important but I believe that some people have effects because they are worried about the effects they are going to have. I was told by my nurse that if you take paracetamol the day before on the day of and the day after you should suffer no effects at all and three days on paracetamol should not cause you any problems I’m ready for a liver transplant and the hospital put me on paracetamol for a few weeks, but as always as your doctor or liver team.Stay Safe All

Hello Dogbot, thanks for your advise. I think you are right, the worrying and stress could make side effects worse.

in reply toNela17

No need to worry about having the vaccine and it's side effects as the worry of catching covid and becoming seriously ill or dying from it has now gone, which is and was always going to be the most worrying thing. Be positive and thankful ... we are saved ! 😀 x

I’ve had both vaccinations (Astra Zeneca), I could barely tell where I’d been jabbed after the first, and only on day 2, felt a little under the weather the day after the second, very mildly ‘fluey’, though I don’t think I’d have given it a second thought had I not known I’d been injected the previous day. Any worries about stories in the press were far outweighed by protecting both myself and others
