My cirrhosis, kpa score, transplant issues,I saw my consultant last march, probably the only reason because I was in hospital, and the bloody cheeky sod said I missed a phone clinic the day I was in hospital been treated by him,I was in hospital 8 days, and on the last day before discharge I was greeted by a mental health liaison team, who said it was suggested to him I was sufferring severe withdrawal from alcohol and very violent, and aggressive, after an hour sat talking with a coffee I think he was in need of some help trying to understand what the hell was going off,anyway,16 months later I had a call from my gp saying is everything OK,where the bloody hell had he been for nearly 16 months,I have requested two medications, bear in mind I suffered internal bleeds, and alcoholism, so I had fenbid gel, reaked of alcohol, and pain nerve relief Naproxin, both of which surely must be some sort of morbid joke, now they want me to have the covid jab because of high risk,do they not know that cirrhosis actually can kill, manage so far without his condemnation of drinking, been looked at like a piece of shit I have probably built his bloody house, not been able to see a gp for the covid reasons, and now they say my door is always open, and I say bloody well shut and go back and retake the hypocritical oath, hypocrites. Big apology, mum had a stroke and pretty bad can't walk, under same GP, she had to go back in to hospital for scans,gp arranged, patient ambulance sorted, stretcher because she is unable to walk, arrived at hospital and they had been told she was a walk in patient, its a bloody joke,I probably think your thinking why couldn't she stay on stretcher or go on a bed,no room at the inn unless she wanted to wait in the stable, they have now rebooked for cat scan.I have had enough,!!!!

Gp and consultant Duo comedy show, cirrhosis,
Good afternoon Charloy,
I am sorry to hear of your experiences., but I am not clear as to what you were hoping the forum could help you with ?
I wonder if you still have contact with the community mental health liaison team ? perhaps you could call them for support or alternatively, you could consider calling our nurse led helpline on 0800 652 7330 Mon-Fri 10am-3pm ,
If you feel you need assistance more urgently, please consider calling NHS111
Take care of yourself,

Hi the forum has been a great help, just the ignorance of gp,and consultant passing the problem, apart from that,I'm doing OK,thanks for reply, just sometimes get so frustrated with GP, will try the number next week and see if I can get some more advice, thanks again.
Hi,thank you I managed to pull courage and rang the nurse,it all made some kind of sense ,at the end of the day I have cirrhosis, whether it be drink or aspirin, other issues,to be honest I feel great,I came to a conclusion the other day and set my pace and ran 10 mile, and bloody enjoyed it,I have told my two daughters if I was to pop my proverbial clogs it will be with my trainers on,I feel so lucky in some ways that it could be a bit of a medical cock up,I have blood test on Thursday,so will see.please people this is my approach and not in anyway a suggestion. Just still got a battle with low moods and bouts of anxiety, thanks all.really mean that, your support has been so welcoming.
