Fatty liver and enlarged slpeen

Anyone been diagnosed with fatty liver non alcohol.. and also been told they have and mildly enlarged spleen did it go back to normal and did it give you any pain ?

Hi, yes I had a fatty liver and enlarged spleen. I was told that spleen takes over some of the functions of the liver. Mine is still enlarged after transplant I occasionally get pain from it.Hilary

Thank you for replying can i ask did you have transplant due to the fatty liver ? i been told its because of meds i take for my autoimmune disease and the fact i am diabetic . The doctoer didnt seem to worry about my enlarged spleen but never gave me a reason for it i do get pain when lying on my left side feels a bit like a stitche he wasnt to worried about fatty liver put am terrified.

Yes had my transplant due to fatty liver, NASH cirrhosis, nobody worried about my spleen pre or post transplant, I don't think it causes a problemHilary

How have you been since your transplant ? Such a scary thing am doing evething I can to prevent it form getting worse

I have non alcoholic fatty liver. I have had it for at least 10 years. It hasn’t changed in all that time. I am slightly overweight and drink within the government guidelines. I attribute it to metabolic syndrome and having had anorexia as a teen

I dont drink or smoke i eat healthy i work out 3 days aweek i dunno wear am going wrong am diabetic but blood sugers or well controlled
