So I contacted Pals and explained by husband’s situation briefly and explained why it was urgent he has an endoscopy as per his discharge.
They contacted the secretary whom I have have spoken to by phone, she’s very nice and she has arranged an endoscopy for the 13th of April, and then a follow up consultation on Friday 16th April.
So hopefully in a couple of weeks we should have some more information and get to find out what’s going on with his Liver and what his options are going to be.
I’m still having issues with him eating and he has a very poor appetite still, He is saying he feel really poorly and doesn’t feel any better than when he was first discharged from hospital last summer, on the plus side he’s gone 10 months now without drinking any alcohol whatsoever, which is amazing. I just wished he could have quit before we ended up at this point.
Thank you for your continued support, I appreciate it.

We had the same battle when my husband was discharged after an osophogeal bleed. Discharge note ordered repeat endoscopy in 3months which GP and consultant advised was too long to wait. I had to chase and chase the endoscopy department and pretty sure they just had me labelled as anxious. However, eventually they booked him in and he had 4 bands done.Once they got to know him, we never looked back - he had 13 bands in total over 6 procedures, sometimes only 2 weeks apart. They all greet him when he goes there and are really kind.
Good news, you did so well, and good luck. Also it's good that even he is still weak,he does not feel worse, hopefully it means his condition is stabilising and he will get better.Good luck.
Glad he is getting some help! Food wise see if your GP can prescribe some build up drinks! They are high calorie and are a way of getting some nutrition! Different areas use different ones! In my area it is fortisip and fresh in. But I have heard of Ensure. Or if the consultant or GP could get a dietitian appointment it might really help🙏
