Hi Asherley, we are not allowed to comment on blood test results as per forum rules. Your doctor should be investigating why you have an elevation of ALT which seems to have gone on for quite some time now judging by your earlier posts as well as this one.

Hopefully your doctor is looking into this a bit more for you.

Can people not comment on whether they have had similar results?

Sadly not, everyone is totally different - elevations of ALT can be for a whole range of reasons some of which are not even purely liver related. It really is up to your doctor to offer guidance based on any other conditions you have or medicines you may be taking - I note that you do have other issues based on the different forums you are a member of.

Hope you get some follow up off doctor very soon.

Hi Asherley,

Katie is correct and we can't really comment on specific results. Even if someone did have similar, it wouldn't necessarily mean that the cause was the same.

The thing to take away from your results is that clearly something isn't quite right. If this is a persistent thing then your gp should be arranging further investigations to try and understand the cause. It may be something completely innocuous and easily treatable and in the main this will be the usual outcome. But, it really is only your gp that can really explain what this could be for your particular situation.

Good luck to you.

Not what you're looking for?
