I'm not sure what stage of fatty liver I am at.

Have done so much research and studied health science. But the only was I will get answers is a fibroscan. The GP that said I could have it left the surgery I was registered to. The new GP are not facied as its so common:WRONG! I BELIEVE TO TREAT HUMANS THIS WAY. NEW GP completely reluctant to do fibroscan said its not available. Said they would look through my notes to find what GP said but they do not bother.

So tired of fighting these people who are supposed to care.

As A child a was a carer for mother who passed 5 years ago.

I have been a heavy binge drinker for about 15 in total. I gave up alcohol 4 months ago which is great but miss it as I suffer with long term anxiety and depression so it did help for that to relax me. Finding new alternatives! Thats the only way.

Abnormal Alt for 5 years between ALT 36 highest its been ALT 84

MOST RECENT NOW AST INVOLVEMENT: 35

ALT 60

Doctor spoke about ratio But cannot remember the number she gave will find out. Wish I knew to work out ratio.

PHOSPHATASE ABIT LOW

C3 ABIT HIGH

They believe its Nafld I AM OBESE 105kg 5'7

QUESTION ARE THROUGHOUT THIS

BUT OTHER QUESTION WHICH I HAVE STRUGGLED TO FIND ANSWER TO IS

Hi Rochelle, there is no real way to differentiate between alcohol related fatty liver and non-alcohol related fatty liver. Both just refer to fatty build up within the liver tissue which shouldn't be there full stop. It can happen linked to alcohol intake and/or lifestyle factors like poor diet, being over weight etc. It's possible to have both going on together contributing to fatty liver. The cure for both is abstinence from booze, better diet and exercise. Your ALT and AST are not massively elevated so hopefully your liver isn't under too much stress or too inflamed (ALT and AST are both liver inflammation markers).

If you read up the guidance on NAFLD it will give you the pointers you need to get this under control and hopefully give your liver the best chance of recovery plus leave out the booze.

Even though you say booze helps you relax, booze is in fact a depressant drug so will actually in the long run make you potentially more depressed or anxious.

You need to find an alternative outlet and maybe exercise will help give you something to do and also help to look after your liver going forward.
