It’s me again so fed up of itching again last few days as really got me down . I’m taking prescribed antihistamine now when it’s bad but not helped last few days . I’m covering my body in moisturising butter but it’s like it puts me in a cold sweat . I have got raised spots from where itching on arms and bruised red stretch like marks from scratching on legs and stomach . It’s just horrible !!!

Hi there other than the antihistamines I was told my one of my liver consultants to use calamine lotion or a cream called Eurex cream worked wonders for me and both can be bought over the counter. PLEASE CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR FIRST BEFORE USE. 👍🏼

The itching to me was the worst symptom of my liver disease so my heart goes out to you my lovely 💛 I hope the lotion works for you I would use them on alternative days and keep the cream and lotion in the fridge 🤞

Thank you so much , it’s nice to have people to talk to that go through the same . X

Hi

The itching is terrible, before my transplant I was the same.

I kept trying different things, the nurses at the QE2 use ice

I wish I could advise about a magic cure, I just kept trying every thing and anything some things worked for a while

My thoughts are with you

Are you on urso for your PBC? What about Fexofenadine - it's a prescribed anti-histimine and gets lots of positive comments on past 'itching' threads.

The only thing that helps itching is CeraVe for dry skin used by diabetics (bath wash) and after shower put some CeraVe itch relief moisturizing cream on body.I do this every night with some fresh lemon water (boil water with fresh lemon let stand for 3 min. it will help.

It's murder, the only thing that helped me was miracle cream from lush at least it may give you some relief.

I have PSC and take rifampicin and cholestyramine drinks for itch. It has stopped it for me and I had itching for years from head to toe. I used to heat a wheat bag and place on itchy parts for as long as I could stick the burning and it gave me temporary relief. Good luck x
