After 7 weeks of crazy symptoms and tons of blood tests I finally got a fibroscan and my results are 6.0 kpa and CAP 290. Anyone have experience with fibroscan and/or symptoms but tests pointing to your liver being relatively healthy? Also anyone know what the IQR information means?

Fibroscan Results
IQR stands for Inter Quartile Range. It's a statistical measure of how 'spread out' the individual readings are. Your IQR is relatively low, meaning the individual readings are quite well clustered. Generally speaking a low IQR gives greater confidence in the result of the fibroscan.
My fibrescan was 7 which I was told did not indicate scarring or autoimmune hepatitis and was a reasonable result.but I may still be having a biopsy depending on how my liver levels behave.
That's a pretty high CAP score so you are on the cusp of S3 fatty liver. kPA of 6 isn't too scary but you need to see what you can do to address the fatty build up in your liver.
About Your CAP Score
Your CAP score is a measurement of fatty change in your liver. Your healthcare provider will use your CAP score to find out your steatosis grade.
The CAP score is measured in decibels per meter (dB/m). It ranges from 100 to 400 dB/m. The table below shows ranges of CAP scores and the matching steatosis grade and amount of fatty change.
CAP ScoreSteatosis GradeAmount of Liver with Fatty Change
238 to 260 dB/m S1 11% to 33%
260 to 290 dB/m S2 34% to 66%
Higher than 290 dB/m S3 67% or more
If you take alcohol at all you would be wise to take a good break from it, if you arn't a drinker then you are most likely looking at non alcohol related fatty liver disease (NAFLD) and you'll find good information and advice at the British Liver Trust Website @ britishlivertrust.org.uk/in...
All the best, Katie
My CAP score was 333 and my KPA score was 5.7. My Hepatologist said that put in in F1 S3.
Thank you all for the responses. I’m just a bit confused because I am having such odd symptoms but LFTs are normal with ALT only slightly raised. Would an acute injury show at all on CT or fibroscan?
I am having epigastric pain, fatigue, and some looser stool. I’ve been taking a digestive enzyme which seems to help somewhat.
The bottom of my feet are also a little pink and tingling at times though that could be from diabetes as I have been recently diagnosed with that as well.
I had a cap of 148 dB/m and 4.4 KPA. Tons of symptoms. Red palms, back shoulder pain, back and front RUQ. Sever pain after drinking. Swollen ankles. What looks like bands at the top of nails. Ultrasound normal too. Blood work normal too.
