my fibroscan was 311 and 6.6% but they didn’t tell me anything. Does anyone know what these numbers mean?

Fibroscan results
You get two main figures from fibroscan - a CAP score (0-400) which reveals how much fatty change is in the liver & a kPa figure (0-75) which reveals how fibrotic the liver might be. (if your 6.6 is your kPa score that % sign shouldn't be there - sometime reports include IQR ànd other figures which are just part of calculations method).
If 6.6 is indeed your kPa then hopefully you still have little fibrosis, CAP score is up a bit into Steatosis grade 3 based on your previous results revealed in your profile.
Hopefully you are getting specific individualized dietary advise to help you. I see that you have earlier issues with diet so you need appropriate support to make sure you help your liver mend. Since you also have elevated liver enzymes your liver is starting to show signs of stress so this does need tackling which I know you are doing.
The BLT has a great page all about NAFLD and NASH together with a downloadable leaflet on treating the condition through healthy eating and exercise.

Hope these are of some help.

Thank you Katie. I am going to review the links that you have given me to help me. This is frustrating especially when my GI doctor is like everything is fine. I have been struggling with weight gain since my hysterectomy and nothing that I do seems to help.
Sadly some in the medical profession don't give fatty liver the attention it needs. NAFLD is the fastest rising cause of liver damage in the western world and has overtaken alcohol in the USA as the leading cause.
Check out those pages I linked to and hopefully they will provide some guidance.

Katy’s advice is always spot on. The PBC Foundation also has good information on the ‘Know your numbers’ section of their website which may be helpful even if you don’t have PBC.
