Upper stomach pain, nauseous, burping

I have upper stomach pain, painful to touch in the centre of stomach. Feel sick all day long and prone to recent heartburn. My doctor has just taken a faeces stool to send off but just in so much pain

Any ideas please ?

While its difficult to give precise medical advice, sounds like an ulcer, does the pain come on in a wave sensation, and eases off when you burp? And then just starts all over again,hopefully it can be easily treated with a course of omeprazole, or something similar, maybe you need to get tested for the stomach bug H pylori, which is also treated with antibiotics, and all being well things will settle down in a week or two,but as always follow medical advice, best of luck.

Hello thank you for your message. It’s constantly there but then the pain yes does come up in waves x

Often called a peptic ulcer or duodenal ulcer, the pain can be described in many ways,but we all describe our symptoms in different ways, and the acid ,indigestion is unpleasant to put it mildly,Its many years ago i had this problem, and I suppose another way to describe it was as a constant gnawing pain, but it would ease slightly when I burped,and even pressing in the middle of the stomach just below where the ribs meet was painful,but keep in touch with your doctors, and hopefully you'll get yourself on the road to recovery,best wishes.

I have had that nauseous feeling and burping all the time for a few wks now .ive been connecting it with my huitius hernia .ive recently had pain rib cag in between breast bone Lund my back it’s very sudden and sharp but couldn’t fathom out th e nauseous ess .

Have you had a gastroscopy? If not, you may want to discuss this with your GP to see if it would be appropriate. It is a comprehensive examination of the whole of the upper gastrointestinal tract

I have had this exact pain and feeling for around 2 weeks. My doctor has told me I must take omeprazole 20 once a day for a month. Have you been advised the same? Hope you are feeling ok today
