Right side, upper back pain for 4 weeks

Hello everyone, I have not posted in such a long time. I hope everyone is doing well under the circumstances.

About 4 weeks ago I developed pain on my upper back but right side where the ribs are. The last 2 weeks it has been horrendous to the point I have been bedridden. The GP had prescribed a few things but my liver hospital told me to stick to paracetamol and that's all.

I am so much pain and a few people have said it could be liver related. I highly doubt it as it is on the rib cage and same section. I finally get to see a GP today who will do an examination.

I first thought it maybe a pinched nerve more than a muscular issue as the muscle ointment didn't even work. I'm not sure what makes it worse. I had a day where it disappeared but the following day i was back to being in extreme agony.

Anyone have any similar issues?

Its good to hear from you again.

We are sorry to read that you are unwell. Hopefully your GP can examine you today, you may also want to discus with them about contacting your liver doctor if needed.

I am over 6 years transplant but not had back pain as you describe. Sounds like something else. If after go visit you have any qualms speak to your transplant coordinator.
