Are you under a hospital consultant for your fatty liver disease? Your posts are all only one line so we don't really know your story but your doctor should be able to refer you for a fibroscan on the NHS to get a proper picture of what is going on with your liver.

If your bloods are high (ALT, AST, GGT) then fibroscan would possibly be totally inaccurate just now since it can't differentiate between inflammation and actual fibrous tissue.

Who came up with the diagnosis of fatty liver disease? How firm is that diagnosis? There are all sort of liver illnesses that can cause elevated levels. Your GP should be referring you to at minimum a gastroenterologist to assess and follow up why your bloods are elevated.

I’ve had NAFLD (non alcoholic fatty liver disease) for about 14 years and on various meds. Do you know what your actual readings are now? Slightly raised isn’t anything to worry about, honestly. My results are all double what they should be and that’s on meds, but that’s my stable state now. I’m sure you doctor would refer you if there was anything to worry about. I would expect yearly blood tests though to check.

I think fibroscan is needed ---when i had mine it showed high results and had to have liver biopsy which showed I had nash liver disease ---they call it the silent killer .I was told I had fatty liver about ten years ago but no follow up and not told how serious it can be

I paid the latter at the Royal Free London.
