I i had my telephone consult at home from my liver transplant consultant.
I asked if I could be allowed to go for a walk answer was no but I’m allowed to go into my garden
I totally forgot to ask him if I could walk out to my car and just have a drive around the estate where I live I’m wondering if I should ask this question as my car will just be sat there for the 12 weeks I’m isolated are amy of you doing this at all ?
I’m afraid if you are in the high risk category it will have to sit there for 12 weeks - at least! Our car hasn’t had a jolly for nearly two weeks now....😕👎
Yeap guess that’s it for now then will see my car in 12 weeks 😊
Shame though as I brought a new car 4 weeks ago and now I’m not allowed to drive it oh well I will hopefully be back out and about once things settle down ❤️
I think I may move mine a few yards up and down the drive now and then to stop things like brakes maybe seizing. Not sure that it's good for the battery though to do that
Hi Alf, I do exactly that, and leave the engine running for 5 minutes, just to get the lubrication around, and that also helps the battery maintain its charge.
I was told stay at home and indoors I’m not allowed to go for a walk at all thankfully I have a garden you may need to talk to someone regards this stay safe ❤️
I understand the urge to just get in the car and go but please don't if you were involved in a road traffic accident you could involve upto 15 people from the emerge services who are under pressure . Stay safe x
It would be a good idea to start the car and run the engine for a few minutes otherwise the battery may run down and won’t have enough power to start at the end of 12 weeks
It’s very frustrating to be cooped up so keep looking at it as a measure that could save your life
