Good morning everyone I hope everyone is doing as well as expected, I myself am waiting for a telephone call from the Doctor some weird pain on the left side top of the torso, O no here we go again fingers it turns out to be nothing. Now for my real post Cucumbers just going berserk, toms beautiful, green beans (cobra) just smashing lovely taste, and thank goodness all growing and cropping well. I think I will buy my little greenhouse a rosette "Greenhouse of the year" O must not forget the rhubarb must have made a killing no sooner than a few stalks appear someone will ask if I have any going,, Silly pain, if that would go away things, would be fine, Well I hope you all are behaving yourselves and being good, watch the sun a bit 2 strong for us. all my love and best wishes to all hope to spk soon take care .

Hi Paderico,

Sorry to hear about your pain and I hope it turns out to be something that is easily sorted.

Hope that you are coping with this amazing blast of heat.

We had a cloudburst about an hour or so ago and I'm sure that the garden will be rejoicing! The sun and heat are back again now though. We can manage to keep nice and cool downstairs but our bedrooms are in the eaves of the cottage so it's very warm upstairs and difficult to sleep.

I expect that you are forever watering that greenhouse of yours in this heat, a labour of love Sounds like you are keeping everyone supplied with plenty of produce, I hope that you are getting plenty for yourself too!

Hello Sir, gosh it is ages since we have spoken I hope you are well and of course Anne, yes Alf it is very very hot so I sort of plan my day which you are right consists mostly of when and how much water for the plants ,,, thank goodness I have 2 water butts also the use of the chap's next door his eyesight is not good anymore so I do bits and pieces for him, well he is 91 and still enjoys his talking books and listening to all the quiz programs on BBC radio. yes other than this silly pain all is well. so I will pop in again and see how everyone is getting along. may you all stay well and happy spk to you all again very soon. all my very best wishes,

Great to hear your fruit and veg are doing so well! Plums and tomatoes are going mad here, so plum chutney and plum jam are on the way and loads of courgettes! I wish I had rhubarb, that’s my favourite apart from spuds which I will get from my friends👍
