Hi everyone I’m a 33 year old female who needs some advice pls
I have Crohn’s disease and recently started back in oct on renflexis, I’ve always fluctuated with my liver enzymes being a little high and being normal
In nov my numbers were just a little high alt 80 I believe ast was normal
In dec my numbers started climbing alt 175 ast 77
Took another test in Jan alt 426 ast 178 so my dr said I need to see a liver dr
We are still running tests and she wants to do a biopsy my question is has anyone been on this medicine renflexis and noticed a change in there numbers or liver function? And info would be great thanks also if those numbers are really high or just average high

Hi Sandy,
Blood reference ranges can vary between laboratories so it is It is really important that you see a liver specialist who can properly evaluate your results. They will also send you for other medical investigations and scans in order to get a good picture of your liver function.
If you are in the UK, you may find it useful to also contact crohnsandcolitis.org.uk/ who is a specific charity for IBD patients and they have a helpline.
Warm wishes

Hi
My son has Crohn's disease, he hasn't as yet had problems with his liver but he now doesn't absorb bile, this is caused by Crohn's but doesn't affect it. He has to take some meds an hour before his normal ones so that he absorbs them properly. I've only mentioned this because the bile duct is near the liver. I could be barking up the wrong tree as I do have fibro fig as well as other things. Please take care of yourself Lynne xxxx
