Try this. It tastes bad, but I think it’s working. Just chug it. My liver pain is much improved after doing this for 2 weeks.
Kale smoothie
- 1 large handful (or 2-3 small handfuls) of kale (stems and all)
Use "Organic Tuscan Kale" from Trader Joe’s - it's in the fresh section, freeze it immediately when you get home and it keeps very long time in the freezer (any high quality organic bagged kale)
- 8 ounces of water (more or less, no ice is needed since the kale and berries are frozen)
- About a cup (handful) of any frozen berries or frozen strawberry banana chunks mix from kroger or anywhere (fresh berries and banana are also fine, but frozen is more convenient)
- Use as much kale and as little fruit as possible, as fruit contains fructose which is bad for the liver. 1 cup of fruit max (or less), no fruit juice.
Blend in any blender for a couple minutes (blend it quite a bit or it's too chunky to drink)
Note: this is extremely high fiber. One a day max. Reduce if it's causing constipation (every other day or so).
Remember: minimize fruit (and all fructose), sugar, and grain based carbs. Eat additional beef and eggs (with yolk) when available, as these benefit liver function and liver healing.
