Liver Blood results

Am reposting this as made an error in first message.

Hi this is my first post on Liver Forum. I had my gallbladder removed about five years ago and one year later I had some stomach pain. I was sent for an ultrasound scan and there were no problems with my bile duct. However the operator commented that I have a fatty liver. I mentioned this to my GP but she was not concerned and said this is quite common and most people have it. I decided to have a private blood test a couple of weeks ago and my GGT result was 50 with 42 being the top of range. My other liver results are ok but I have high cholesterol and Hashimotos Thyroid disease. Could anyone advise is 50 regarded as a very high level or not too bad? By the way I do not drink alcohol. Any tips on how to reduce this level would be very welcome thank you.

Hello,

Im afraid we cannot give advice about results on here although I would say that your result is only a little above normal. It would be helpful for you to know exactly how fatty your liver is - mild/moderate/severe. Depending on the result you may need following up with regard to this. Fatty livers are common but this does not mean they should be ignored !
