Hi everyone I hope you are keeping as well as you can. It’s just under three weeks since I got the call for a liver transplant. It’s gone well so far with just a few ups and downs and tonight I’m sat back home( exhausted) with my hubby and pup looking forward. For all of you waiting for your call keep faith in the fact that it will come. I waited almost 20 months for my call and I’ve met some people who have waited longer. I feel very blessed to have received this gift of life xx

Hi Smyally. Glad for you that you are now back home with all it's comforts to continue your recuperation. Remember to take it slowly, no lifting, don't try to do too much too soon. Plenty of years ahead to do all of the things that you will find difficult at the moment. Relax and enjoy planning your future. All the very best. Alf
Thanks Alf
Hi
I'm so pleased you are now back home. Now, you can relax in your own bed etc. You can now start planning things to look forward to. You are an inspiration like so many on here. Please take care Lynne
Hi Alf I’m now we’re you were when I first had my op in that I’m seven months in and used you and your advice for my recovery as it was something I’d be inspired by if that makes sense. You probably won’t remember but I can recall firing multiple questions your way. That’s why it’s a godsend to have this site for guys like yourself who’ve been through and come out the other side. And yet your still offering your support and advice to others and hopefully they’ll take something from it just as I did and still do. Paul
Hi Paul, That's very kind of you to say so. I remember when I found BLT. It was about a month after my transplant (how I wished I'd known about it before! ) My op wound was being stubborn to heal and I had no one to ask or to compare with. I looked on the internet for an answer and that led me to the BLT site and from that moment on I didn't feel so alone. I received lots of help and reassurance and so now if I can help or reassure anyone then I'm only too glad to do so. This site is invaluable, it has so many members suffering from and recovering from so many problems liver related that can answer our questions and calm our fears, what would we do without it? Best wishes. Alf
Hi so pleased for you just as Alf said take it slowly and no heavy lifting. Patients is the key. Something I’ve had to learn rather quickly. Take care. Paul
Such a relief to get home, and my how life will have changed for you. You will
Be amazed/delighted how much it continues to change. Well done on a successful op. Keep on the road to good recovery. Andy.
