Hi

Welcome to this wonderful forum. I was diagnosed with nafld and then Nash with fibrosis. We were advised to try and cook everything from scratch, try to not eat processed food, plenty of protein, I'm sorry I can't think of anything else, I think I've got brain fog coming on, that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it😂 please take care of yourself Lynne

Greenham - exercise is really important too, within your own limits but resisting the temptation to lie down all day. If you are able to walk, that can be good enough. Take as many rests as you need but stay mobile between rests and get outside as much and as often as possible. Avoid any medications or supplements not prescribed for you or without medical approval and absolutely avoid alcohol.

Are you following a weight-reducing plan for people with liver disease? The British Liver Trust will be able to signpost you to this sort of plan if you need help with it. There's a dedicated place on their website for all types of diets for all types of liver disease including NAFLD.

Best wishes

Hi Phyllis

Just to add if you go outside don’t forget the Factor 50 and a hat! Sorry to be a pain but I learnt the not so good way! Boo Hoo 😁

good point well remembered Miles, to protect ourselves from sunburn!

I only use clothes to cover up, not lotions and potions because I don't want those chemicals on my skin :-)

Hi Greenham. Used to live in your area. Not far away now. Just waiting for complete diagnosis but suspect I have the same. Just thought I d say hi as I miss the area and all my friends.

Good morning Greenham,

I am sure our lovely forum members will be able to share their experienes of NAFLD(non alcohol related fatty liver disease) with you.

I have included the British Liver Trust information on NAFLD for information and support.
