I have been suffering from jaundice for the past two weeks now. LFTs came back as ‘deranged’ and then ‘stably deranged’. No pain but medics suspect blocked bile duct. Poor appetite and weight loss. Ultrasound showed no issues so follow up in two weeks time plus MRI a few days later. Jaundice was improving mid week but has deteriorated again. Anyone had a similar experience?

Hey everyone, I was diagnosed with gilbert syndrome in January and then epilepsy in March of the year. I was a fot runner, doing ultra marathons last year and now I feel like rubbish all the time. Jaundice in my eyes and only high bilirubin with pain. I've been told by a couple doctors it shouldn't cause pain and others that say it does. This is after them googling the syndrome and printing it out, going through it and going oh I didn't know that. Just looking for clarity and when to be really forceful with them. My back is in pain and my right shoulder. Waking up soaking in sweat and just cant keep my eyes open ?
So sorry to hear of your situation and I do hope they get on top of the pain which must be draining both emotionally and physically. It’s so hard going from being fit and healthy to being sick. (I too am a runner (well jogger and over short distances) and finding it hard sitting around instead of being active. I think you do need to be assertive. It’s your body and you know it best.
Hi,Did they find out what was wrong in the end? I’m having the exact same issue as you but it’s been a month. I have an MRCP scan on Friday so hoping for more answers soon.
