Hi all,

Well, I lie here in my hosp bed, at qehb. I’m now 5 days post tx.

Just had a doctor come round to tell me my lfts we’re now a little on high side. They intend to retake at 5am, and if still not good they will do a biopSy tomorrow. Anyone got any thoughts?? Andy.

It's quite common, they need to find out if it's rejection but don't panic they can sort it out with tweaking about with the meds and giving you a huge dose of steroids.... Fingers crossed it resolves by morning don't forget it's early days 😊 and BTW congrats

Hi Andy. I was in that exact same position once and in the morning I was told that a biopsy wasn't required. Hopefully the same for you. All the best. Alf.

Morning guys, well, fingers crossed. Yes I’m a wee bit concerned about rejection, but nothing I can do about it. Need to stay focused and dedicated to this new life I have. Actually feel good this morning. Just need to work on strength.

An enormous thank you to you all for your support. It means the world. In particular to my darling Samantha who is taking this journey alongside me. Every transplantee should have a Samantha in their arsenal!!

Hi Andy. Good luck with those blood results today, hope no biopsy is needed, Yes, where would we be without our caring and long suffering partners? The stress that they have been through on our behalf is immeasurable. All the best. Alf

That’s one of the things the forum members are fantastic at. As well as their level of knowledge. So many have been in this position and can provide reassurance as needed.

Hi Andy

Great news on your TP 👍

I was “threatened” with a biopsy three days in a row about your stage but it never happened, and never mentioned again since. I hope you have the same luck but whatever is done it is only for your good as you know 😁👍.

BTW isn’t the free wifi in there great 😁😁👍👍

Best of luck

Miles

I had a biopsy two days after tx never mentioned again try not to worry I was also at the qe fantastic place I'm sure you'll be fine

Congratulations on your transplant

Did you need a biopsy?

I'm not at that stage yet but the forum is fantastic!!

Take care Lynne

I am so pleased for you Andy and Samantha. I am now 7 weeks post transplant.

It has had highs and lows.

The forum is the place for your support. I was blessed with lots of real friends on this site. Who all genuinely care not just about me, but anyone, who is suffering, worried or needing support.

So, you should know you are being held and supported by many invisible hands.

The most important thing you should know is that these medical and surgical teams, know exactly what they are doing. They have come across every single scenario known. You will be fine. They will be prepared.

5 days post, you have to bask in the knowledge you have been reborn !

I for one, bask along side you. As does everyone on HU.

Try not to worry too much, hold on to the faith you will be well.

You are in the best place, until you are well enough to come home.

Take things slowly, you will be back home in Samantha’s arms before you know it. Stay strong, stay focussed.

We are all thinking of you and sending virtual hugs.

Jaycee
