Hi, this is for anyone that has had it done and just wondering , I had my gallbladder removed on Thursday last week, all is in tact and fine had a bleep Saturday where ended up in a/e due to me passing out , had tests done and they said all was still in tact and ok, but I woke up this morning with an awful pain on the right side accompanied with awful backache ! , I've taken pain killers and the pain has eased but it still lingering around as it is pulsing a bit, , I've read on here about deferred pain under the ribs that goes out the back, has anyone experienced this ? And more importantly will it keep coming back or will it ease off as it gets better , the pain was worse than the actual glad bladder pain itself! , anyone ?

Hello Nannywales,
Sorry that you are having post - operative difficulties, however this is not a medical forum and nobody here is qualified to give medical advice or make a diagnosis.
Persistent pain is not be ignored and medical help / support should be sought.
If you are in the UK ( perhaps 'wales' is a clue ) you can call either the 999 emergency services number or NHS 111 / NHS Direct Wales. They will be able to assess your symptoms and provide advice or emergency care if required. Otherwise please contact your own GP, which being a bank holiday may re-directed to an 'out of hours' service.
Below are links to NHS 111 and NHS Direct Wales.
Wishing you well.
