First of I’m going to apologise now I’m so so tired my brain just isn’t working and think Iv got muddled up here. So as you know Monday I went for a ultrasound scan on my liver and was told all was good. Rang the doctors today to be told the theirs a message on for the doctor to look at it, is that normal as expected the receptionist to say results are normal or something like that. Il be ringing tomorrow to see if any of my bloods come back as know the hepatitis one won’t be back till next week.

After an ultrasound there is normally a wait of a few days to a couple of weeks while the Doctors get round to viewing the results unless it is an emergency that is. So no reason to stress, no news is good news! 😃😊😊

Thanks moonbeam4 I’m not gonna stress yet as I know the receptionist is messaging for another doctor to check the results due to my doctor being a way till end of May. Just needed to check as don’t usually have scans done and thought it be like when you have blood tests back xxx

Will do lovely and thank you for your replies. Oh yeah I keep forgetting that lol. I like to keep the receptionist busy lol. No they know me quite well so luckily they don’t mind me ringing for the results earlier. To be fair though the sonographyer did say end of week which I took as Thursday Friday justbtoo impatient lol xxx

Don't worry, that's the usual protocol. The sonographer cannot give you a diagnosis. They may say it looks ok but the final say so has to come from your doctor or consultant normally.

Hi, when I have scans they have refused to give me any results as ‘ the Doctor is the professional who has to interpret them’. Knowing me as they now do, they also hide the screens so I can’t see the numbers! Normal practice, don’t worry!

Thank you Owlie for your reply. Yeah Iv just been told my scan came back normal by the receptionist today as rang them to see if my blood results came back. I’m guessing everything is ok or I have to wait till next week as was told one of the tests will take longer for results.
