my fibroscan reads 11.7 , SGPT- 86 & SGOT 71 with ALP on 186. I want to know that is it possible for me to start working out and do weight training again with these results ???

Yes it's fine it's encouraged by the doctors 😊

As long as you don't have any esophecal varices or enlarged spleen, because you could rupture these with lifting heavy weights, I would ask your doctor to make sure what would be safe for you.

spleen enlarged by 177.0 mm, portal vein is dilated and measures 13.1 mm . shows Grade II X 3 varices, portal hypertension, with low risk varices

Ayush I would definitely ask your consultant what would be safe for you to lift!! I have 3 grade 2 varices and enlarged spleen at 18cm and I wouldn't dream of lifting heavy weights.

I am post transplant and was worried about exercise putting a strain on all the plumbing attaching my new liver. I explained this to the trainer at my gym and he developed a routine for me that wouldn’t put strain on it. As for varices then, as suggested, take advice from your medical team.

I was doing intensive training 3-5 times a week while diagnosed with compensated cirrhosis. Changed to decompensated while on holiday and remember the sonographer performing an ultrasound abroad questioning my gym routine as apparently it puts too much strain on an already struggling liver. Best have a good word with your consultant.
