Normal result endoscopy

I had my endoscopy done yesterday and boy I did not like that uncomfortable feeling of throwing up,any way it turned out normal...the main reason I had this test was because of persistent pain while swallowing some types of food eg potatoes ,avocados ,bananas too....the pain gets worse when I get hungry...its like someone lit a fire I don't know if I should say just above the sternum...it even hurts when I try sleeping on my stomach...the endoscopist did say I have bad acid reflux and prescribed some ppis ....I have been on these for three years now...a barium meal test showed chronic gastritis....what should I do?can a ct scan pin point the problem

I had an operation for a I'd reflux called fundoplication, it cured it but consultant said I wouldn't be able to sick after, it would go down the other way!! Anyway I have been sick a few times do don't know what she was on about!! Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

What test did you do to show your reflux?

I was diagnosed with an inflamed oesophagus and put on omeprazole after an endoscopy, (I had it, to check for varices). I didn't ever suffer from acid reflux or heartburn but was told to take them to protect my oesophagus. Strangely, if I don't take omeprazole now, I get acid reflux!

I've been on those for three years ,I think it made it worse
