Call number 4

Well here we are again ! Hubby gets fourth call at 6am this morning . It’s now 4-20pm and not Hurd or seen the surgeon! So hot in here as well . Why do we have to be here so long seems strange that 9 hours have passed and nothing . Fingers crossed though !

Sorry to hear that. I had the call at 3 a.m. I did not know until 10 p.m that it was going ahead. I think the time is dependant on how long it takes to get the liver to your hospital and then the surgeon needs to examine it. I know my liver did not arrive until 8.30p.m

I know how frustrating it is, I am sure you will know soon.

We had the call at 4pm and my son didn’t go down until 3am but he received the right lobe of a split liver and the left lobe went to a baby who’s parents were told at 7am so they waited 20 hours from being told to their baby going down so I guess it can take a long time and it doesn’t mean anything is wrong. Fingers crossed it’s a go x

Hi love he’s very agitated every time they try and bring him off the sedation . They have put these boxing glove things on his hands as he’s trying to pull everything out . It’s so scary to see I just hope tomorrow he will be a bit better . Liver is doing good at moment . Hope u ok . Xxxx

Hi everyone . Karl is still heavily sedated . He keeps getting very anxious when they bring him round and not taking anything in . He’s got a infection and high temp . The liver wasn’t working great but is a little better today . He hates the ventilator down his throat and try’s to pull it out. There thinking of putting a tracker in throat as any one else had one of these. I’m so scared that he’s not in the land of living . It’s breaking me big time . Am there every day . Just want my hubby back xxxxx

Oh love it’s horrid seeing him there ! He’s still on ventilator . His heavily sedated still. Today they might do a Tracheostomy so they can bring him round a lot safer and take the tube out of his mouth . His temp is boarder line high and fit a infection. Just so draining he’s been asleep over a week now ! Bet he wakes up for the FA cup on Saturday the big sod ! How are u keeping love x

Hi guys yes they put a Tracky in on Tuesday . It’s so horrible seeing him like this . There trying to bring the sedation down but he gets so agitated . It’s like watching tv and some one coming off drugs . The trauma in his face is shocking . Never seen anything like this in my life . So scared for him . He’s got arm band things on so he can’t get to tubes . So so sad never did I ever think this would be like this it’s day 10 , thought he would be on the mend as such by now 😢x

O deb this is so sad, is it the infection effecting him or a combination of drugs,I really can’t imagine what your going through watching the man you love fighting hope today is a good day for you both my thoughts are with you

Hi everybody thanks for all the kind words . Karls got another infection but there treating it . He’s still heavily sedated but not as much as yesterday. They where doing a scan tonight of his head and around liver . It’s so scary my heart feels like it’s broke . I have to be strong for our kids . Never thought this would happen it’s so scary xxxxxx

Hey Debski, how sad and frustrating for you. How did the scan go? Good news I hope! Does he seem to be breathing better with the Track in? What do the doctors think is stopping him from coming round (besides the medication) do they have an understanding as to why he is becoming so distressed xx

Hi Karls had scan and his brain is ok thank god ( probably full of football ) he’s fighting a infection so they have kept his sedated . He’s breathing by him self without help from Tracky. Liver is doing fine . Just so adgitated when they drop sedation xx
