Indigestion and pantoprazole
Good morning,
If you have been prescribed the medication by your GP, s/he will be aware of your medical history and will have taken this into account when the prescription was written.
If you are still unsure, you should contact your GP and say you are concerned about the prescription.
When you collected the prescription the pharmacy will usually ask if you have taken the medication before and have you had an adverse reaction. Further to this, in the box there will be a patient information leaflet. That should tell you of any contraindications / interactions with other drugs and precautions. The pharmacist is also able to advise on medication you are taking.
If you have been suffering from indigestion / gastric reflux for some time and its causing problems, perhaps you could request that your GP refer you for investigations into the cause.
Hope this helps.
Jim
