No matter the cause of our Liver problems I am so grateful for the British Liver Trust and this group. No matter the cause we are all going through many many similar thoughts feelings of anxiety , grief , denial, acceptance, fear , gratefulness etc. Hang in there everyone!!!

I agree this site has really helped me understand my situation. It's comforting to hear from others going through the same things and understand the guilt that comes from causing this disease to ourselves I really feel for the group members who have a condition that is not their fault. Anyway thank you all

If its any consolation, most liver disease is preventable.

The genetic and auto-immune conditions are all very rare and only account for less than 15 - 20% of all liver disease.

That is very kind of you Marydel. What everyone is doing is just sharing their own personal situations and knowledge. What is nice is that people on here aren't judgemental. I know that those who have a liver condition that isn't alcohol-related, get quit upset for being wrongly labelled, and who can blame them.

Hello Mary ,I have just read your original post ( I can't find the rest as new to site) I feel better knowing there's someone out there like me , who's willing to give me hope, I am so glad for your post , and what you are going through. Your post gives me hope and courage, you just have to keep going especially when you're a mum .
