Nexavar ( sorafenib )

Anyone been on Nexavar treatment just started taking them Wednesday 400mg to start with , my third tace treatment didn’t really work, I’ve got liver cancer hepatocellular cancinoma , feeling every nervous about it all .

Hello, I've been on sorafenib since November 2016 ..liver cancer stage 3......given 11 months to live but I'm still here , 18cm tumour shrank to under 8cm now ..not suggesting the drug did this by itself. .diet is paramount.

Also (and I cant recommended this enough) try SERT . A procedure that places tiny radioactive spheres into the tumour .the hope being the destruction of the tumour or at least part of with the aim of prolonging life.

Im in excellent health and condition is stable

I had sorafenib for 12 months following tace. Think I was on 600mg, full dose is 800mg but I had rash reaction so came off for two weeks then restarted at lower dose. It held my tumours at bay for 12mths but then had progression. I am currently on a trial of Pembrolizumab (keytruda) and have seen great reduction and am now stable. Hope Pembro gets a license for HCC as it has given me my life back.
