Hi all, today is the fifth anniversary of my liver transplant op. Other than a couple of episodes with pulmonary embolisms, I have been healthy and happy.
My thanks go to the expertise of the transplant team and nursing staff at Kings College, and the grace and love of the donor and her family, without whom I would never have survived.
To all of you awaiting the call, I hope it comes soon. And I encourage you to keep strong and optimistic, your time will come.
Blessings to y'all.

What can I say except happy anniversary and keep up the staying healthy good work. That will be the biggest thanks to the family who made it possible. Our thanks have to go to them as well.
Yes, thank you Dorset123. Got my 6 monthly with Doc Williams at Bournemouth tomorrow... Hopefully he will put me on a yearly appointment. I was discharged from Kings last January.
I still get tired, but put that down to hard work rather than liver op recovery. Still taking one day at a time though!
I am also being seen at Bournemouth as well as Kings. I am 14 months post op & my LFTs are playing up & they are trying to sort it out between them. Hopefully it is mostly a case of adjusting the meds.
Trying to be more active...have started hitting a golf ball again, but do get very tired. Still much better than the other option.
