Hi. I have liver cancer, waiting on 2nd TACE treatment. Has anybody else experienced weight loss. I have lost about 10kg in 2 months. I eat healthily, but well. Thanks

Weight loss with liver disease is very common - as it also is with cancer. Your liver won't be metabolising food properly as it would in a healthy person. See if your GP or liver team will prescribe some supplement drinks for you which will give extra calories plus all the vitamins and minerals you need. Perhaps ask to see a specialist dietician who can make sure you are eating the right foods in the right way. Healthily isn't always whats needed when you are loosing weight, but, a dietician should be able to advise you properly.

It would be advisable to discuss your weight loss with your liver specialist. If appropriate, they can then refer you to a hospital registered dietician for more specific guidnace.

Have you checked your sugar levels? I have HCC from hemochromotosis and lost a great deal of weight - found out I became diabetic -
