My husband had ablation on two small hcc lesions just over a week ago he is very tired just wondering if anyone has had ablation and how long recovery took. He should be on transplant list but he had small kidney tumour in 2014 apparently he has to be clear for five yrs before being referred for transplant according to hepatologist. Karen

Hello Karen,I to had ablation on small tumour about 18 months ago. I was in hospital for 3 days and the procedure itself was straight forward . However I found that it took me around 3 weeks to feel I was back to my old self.tiredness was the main problem but not sleeping more feeling lethargic .was hoping ablation was going to cure me & to be fair I went 14 months where all was very positive but on a routine scan they found it had returned in same place & another area so I am now on transplant list day 124. I so hope your husband feels better soon as am sure he will. What hospital is he under? Am addenbrookes. Please be strong and together you will get through this. Best wishes huw
