First time I've posted on here, had a whipple procedure on 30th November to cure a bile duct cancer which was a complete success however have had a serious complication 2 weeks later with a serious bleed and only a 6 hour emergency operation saved my life, good job I was still in hospital at the time, finally home after 30 days in hospital and the road to recovery starts now.

i had a gallstone in the bile duct and had been there so long it calcified. so it got cut away and a new one reconstructed from bowel tissue. there have been a few people with bile duct reconstruction and for different reasons. the forum is very quiet with christmas and the new year taking up family responsibility. probably others had the same procedure as yourself. if you put it in the search box you might find old posts for whipple procedure.im sure you will hear from someone who has had this done, i had my gallbladder removed as well. love grace xoxo 🙋🏼
